Quotes Your novel, Tuesday's Child, is fantastically put together. It holds a reader's interest from the start, and stirs up and grabs every emotion throughout. Your descriptions of Lane's different survival struggles, and solutions she tried, were great. And all of that was harder for your character because of the undealt-with violence that was supposed to humiliate, terrorize and eliminate her. I admire the way you present the horrors that still plague so many in our society--rich and poor--and yet not leave your characters or readers totally without hope. Quotes

Quotes The author brought the story of this child's abuse alive for everyone to see, hear and speak about and almost too late to save this child. The author also makes us aware that we should always be vigilant in watching out for all kinds of abuse. Some are abused without even a mark. Yes, I mean verbal abuse can be damaging as well. Kudos to the author for writing such a touchy story of the horrendous crime of abuse. She told the story without having to be grossed out in the abusive parts. She kept you on the edge and wanting to rant and rave at some of the character in the book. Thank you for this suspense filled novel. Love it when good over powers evil and prayer when prayed in earnest is answered in the Lord's own way. I highly recommend this book Quotes

Quotes Wow, what can I say? I received this book today and was not able to put it down. I finished it in one afternoon. The story captivated me from the start. I found Lane to be a strong, likeable heroine, her character was very well thought out, as were the rest of the characters. The story itself is haunting as the reader can hardly imagine how parents can throw away their children. Gibbs does an amazing job at tying the story together, making every detail believable. Her writing is honest and raw, I love her style. I felt like I was in the story with Lane, going through her trials and tribulations right there with her. I am looking forward to reading the second installment; Tuesday's Child: Redemption Quotes

Quotes The flashbacks are handled like a seasoned pro and they help set the stage for a sympathetic character. The author has also done a good job (too good maybe?) of painting the villain. The excerpt maintained my interest and had me intrigued on how the novel would further develop. The author has also done a nice job defining the protagonist and the drama/trauma that was introduced into her life. Another thing that I find interesting is that this is a YA novel, but it has a decidedly mature tone. I am sure that teenage readers will appreciate a novel that speaks to them as adults and not mindless readers. I could easily see this being published and widely read. Quotes

Quotes I always read fiction for recreation because it never really mirrors real life, but mimics it enough to be interesting. Normally, you would find me with sci-fi or murder-mysteries. I did however find the title intriguing and checked out the book. Not sci-fi, however increasingly catching hold with every page. I am very glad I checked out reading material not normal for me; as it was a very welcome change and quite satisfying. Thanks Carolyn. I enjoyed your adventure, because that was what it was for Lane, and I took it with her. Quotes

Quotes Tuesday's Child is engaging portrayal of human nature in which the characters exhibit a range of motivations and behaviors that hit home. In a world that seems to be trying to mimic fiction, it is a pleasure to read a book so dedicated to the concepts of individual perseverance and realistic emotion. Quotes

Quotes I'm impressed that this first time novelist was able to build her characters, plot and suspense with such success! Usually I find one of them lacking. I would highly recommend this novel, not just to YAs but to readers who enjoy suspense! Carolyn, keep on writing!! Quotes

Very Satisfied Reader

Quotes This book was very well-written. I enjoyed the author's writing style. She made me hate certain characters (namely Jenna and Morgan) and love others (such as Ray and Lane). The plot did not always move fast, but her writing kept me interested long enough to get to the next event. The author also does a good job of throwing in a twist or two along the way, leading to a satisfying and slightly unexpected ending. I would definitely recommend this book to those who like a character-driven story. Quotes
